xUpgrade your car wash routine with the AKM Spotless Water System, a portable deionized water setup designed to reduce mineral residues during rinsing. By removing mineral ions, it helps reveal a clearer shine on paint, chrome, and plastics. While results can vary with conditions, many users notice fewer water spots and a smoother final rinse when using DI water at the end of the wash.
What’s in the kit
- 9"×20" FRP tank with polyester cover for durable, long-term use
- 9.5 liters of mixed-bed resin pre-filled (adjustable to 10 liters with added water)
- 2 x 3/4" garden hose quick connectors
- 1 x 3/4" double female connector
- 1 x PTFE sealing tape and 1 x black handle
- 1 x TDS meter pen to test water quality
Bypass and filtration workflow
The built-in bypass valve lets you switch between bypass and filtration without complicated steps. Use bypass during most of the wash to save DI water, then switch to filtration for the final rinse to conserve resin and extend its life.
Reuse, maintenance, and refills
This system is designed for repeated use. When the resin runs low, simply refill the tank with AKM 10L mixed DI resin and reconnect – you’re ready to go again. The tank’s FRP construction supports long-term use, with resin replacement being the primary maintenance task. Replacement resin packs are available so you can keep the setup performing over time.
How to use
- Connect the system to a standard garden hose and confirm the connections are secure
- Test the water with the included TDS meter to check the ppm level
- Wash as usual, using bypass for the majority of the process
- Switch to filtration for the final rinse to obtain purified water

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
